Subhed
As a fire fighter I saw darkness and trauma. I witness bad things happen to good people, and I did with many people do to defend myself against the darkness. I use the alcohol to numb myself and escape the pain, as I continue to show up for others, and do my job.
It wasn’t until years later that I realized I wasn’t treating my stress injuries from work. I was merely numbing and delaying my injuries from feeling as the rooms kept growing bigger. I didn’t truly understand this until I look back years later.
I had to develop the skills to face these stress injuries in a serious way, and alcohol was not helping.

Many people use alcohol and attempt to solve problems, and it can feel that way in the moment, but more often than not we are not solving the problem, we are just making it worse by putting it on hold, as it grows and pastors inside, and we are eventually forced to face even bigger problems, while left weakened and damaged from chronic alcohol use.
Maybe you’ve already seen this from changes in your mood and physical health. Maybe your lack of control of your treatment has already lead you to making some unhealthy and regrettable decisions. Maybe you’re still rolling the dice. Maybe you only hit a lamp post while driving drunk, and didn’t hurt anybody, but yourself.
Maybe you see you that’s the direction you’re clearly headed, and you’re ready to choose a different and healthier path for your future. Maybe you’re ready to take back control of life. Maybe you’re just sick and tired of letting alcohol have control over you.

Or maybe you’re ready to give up a lie that alcohol is helping to solve your problems.
If you feel in your heart and intuition that it’s time for you to take back control of your life, I am here to help and guide you, as I have already walked this path myself. I’ve seen the darkness and the pitfalls, and I my hope is to offer the safety and guidance necessary to help you finally break free.
